Deep Rest

by Josh on December 2, 2008

The Fuller Youth Institute is quickly becoming my favorite source for youth ministry resources.  Their latest e-journal features an excerpt from their upcoming e-book Deep Leadership, focusing on the necessity of rest in youth work.

The pitch? Focus on two disciplines: sabbath and the examen. Yeah, I know, its simple.  But it also hit me like a gut punch.

While my verbal commitment to these disciplines is indisputable (as is evidenced here, here and here), I don’t really have the application part down yet.  I’m taking this as a firm but friendly nudge to put action to my convictions.
